Could the next Republican US Senate candidate literally be from our backyard? It’s hard to tell for sure since there has been no official announcement, but make no mistake…Tom Cotton would make a great Senate challenger to Sen. Blanche Linoln and he’s just a hop, skip and a jump away…from Dardanelle, AR.

Who Are We?

The River Valley Young Republicans (RVYR) is a new organization that recognizes the need of younger people getting involved in politics. We are focusing on people between the ages of 25-45 with the hopes that we will take ownership in our community in a political way. That we will not continue observe from a distance the effects that local politicians are having on our daily lives, but that we will become pro-active and part of the solution rather than waiting for someone else to step up to the plate.

The RVYR seeks to do four main things:

1. Meet the political needs of people in the River Valley – We want to bring awareness of legislation within both the state and local governments.

2. Provide a family friendly political environment – Children are always welcome and our focus is to make sure you leave every event more politically informed than when you came.

3. Recruit quality candidates within our neglected age demographic – The 25-45 age demographic is severely neglected within the state and local governments. We want to initiate and motivate this demographic to get involved.

4. Provide necessary tools for running a successful campaign – We have a strong knowledge of running campaigns, so with financial assistance and volunteers to assist candidates, we want to help people who are interested in jumping in and running for office.
